Just Finished a Course on Agentic AI— My take on how it will transform Business

I recently completed a beginner-level course on Agentic AI, and to be honest, it’s changed how I think about the future of work and business.

I’m no expert (yet), but the concepts I learned are too exciting not to share—especially for anyone running a business, managing teams, or just curious about where AI is headed.

1. So, what is Agentic AI?

In simple terms: it’s AI that doesn’t just wait for instructions—it acts. Agentic AI is planned steps that takes actions based on outcomes. It’s like having a digital teammate who not only follows orders but also thinks ahead and gets things done on its own.

2. How could this work in my business?

After going through some real-life examples in the course, here’s where I see the biggest potential:

Sales & Outreach

An AI agent could research leads, craft personalized emails, test different approaches, and follow up—without someone manually doing it every step of the way. This is really fantastic and easy wins with Agentic AI.

Customer Service

It can handle tickets, learn from past cases, escalate only when necessary, and even offer proactive solutions before a problem is reported. Direct from emails too!!!!

Operations

Imagine an AI that monitors processes, and executes next steps in real time. I am
implementing one such process in my company, Securens, that will make the process unbelievable fast with almost zero human touch! And, I have thought of 4 more such applications! This increases customer satisfaction, increases efficiency and requires almost zero manpower where we have 12 people for the same process!!!! Now, I’ll have 12 people to work on other things related to growth.

Project Management

Agents that help teams stay on track, remind people of deadlines, chase updates, and adapt timelines dynamically. Still working on How….

3. What really clicked for me

The course emphasized something that stuck with me: Agentic AI doesn’t replace people— it frees them. It takes over the repetitive, procedural stuff so we can focus on strategy, creativity, and human connection. And in a business setting, that’s where the real value is.

4. A few early lessons I took away:

You don’t need to go all-in. Start small: automate a simple process, that works with well- defined logic to build a simple agent, test the outcomes. Many good freelancers are available. The process I talked earlier would take 1 week to develop and Rs. 1.5 Lacs as outsourced development costs. That’s how fast and economical it is!

5. Final thoughts

I went into this course thinking Agentic AI would be another buzzword. I came out realizing it might be one of the most important shifts in how work gets done.

If you’re curious, I’d definitely recommend exploring it—especially at a basic level. For all the persons leading ab team. I strongly recommend such basics course for CEOs and COOs too. The sooner we understand how to work with AI agents, the better prepared we’ll be for the future of business.

Would love to hear your thoughts—have you seen Agentic AI in action at work? Are you experimenting with it? Let’s connect and share notes.
